Dear Fellow Toastmasters,
We have been together in our small Iberia District for two years now.
And what a journey!
Yet, if this weird times are showing us something, it is that we are resilient. And at the heart of resilience is a belief in oneself, and also a belief in something larger than oneselves.
There is an African proverb that states “if you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
We are together in this.
Do you remember why you joined Toastmasters?
Every one of us have a different reason: maybe you wanted to improve your public speaking skills, or you wanted to become a better leader, maybe both things at the same time.
In the beginning of the year, we usually revisit our goals. What are your new objectives? Have you achieved the goals you set up when you joined? Is it, perhaps, time to look around and revisit your challenges?
The District team is here to help you achieve your goals. Talk to your Area Director, your Division Director or to any of us in the Core and extended team and let us know your plans. Let’s go together, because, we will get farther.
I wish you a year full of projects, learnings, fellowship… and fun!
